I can be a little bull headed and stubborn. I love Chocolate, coffee and my iphone. Movies and TV are a definite favorite, of course while I am editing pictures! I am a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl, and that is most likely what I will show up to shoot in...that is unless it's your wedding ;)

I love shooting families and seeing that special bond come alive, it's amazing to watch how everyone interacts with each other and to capture that forever.

Finding out what makes my clients tick is what makes me happiest, I want to know how you met your spouse, how many kids you have, what you do for work....well the questions are endless and really that's what makes the sessions so much fun! We get to chat and hang out. Have some great laughs and while all that is happening, the pictures that are taken, well you and your family shines because you are truly having an experience and after all, that's what it's all about!

Big Family Session ~ Olds, AB Photographer

I really love these big family sessions!  And this one was no exception!  There was a lot of laughter and a lot of love, two things that make for great families!  The session was held for grandpa and was a great opportunity to get some images of this family all together.  There was a lot of planning that went into this session as some of the family lives north of Olds and some South.   We had a lot of fun, managed to get to a couple of locations and then to top it off the kids were fantastic!

Fabulous Family ~ Olds, AB Photographer

I have to say, I love my job!

And, it’s even more enjoyable when you have a family like this to photograph.  The girls are gorgeous, and so much fun.  I loved their personalities and they love each other, how much do you LOVE that!  I asked mom and dad if the girls get along and they said, yes they do, they really love each other….for now!  LOL!  We found some great urban locations….in Olds, and had a great time walking around downtown and through back alleys.  We were lucky and managed to have a gorgeous afternoon, which lately is SUPER lucky!  As I write this it is 7 degree’s outside and rainy, oh well here’s a little sunshine to warm up your day!

She’s A Natural ~ Olds, AB Photographer

When I first met this gorgeous mama to be, we sat down and talked about the session and how she was feeling.  As we sat there talking it became clearer and clearer that she is just as gorgeous on the inside as the outside.  She speaks quietly, unassuming and thoughtful.  She spins her own wool, and has studied herbs in New York with a herbalist and was more than willing to share with me anything that I asked and she is chock full of information!  I know this baby is going to have one of the most loving homes, and is so very wanted.  I wish you well mama, and hope you have an easy delivery!

A lot of people ask me what they should wear for their session, so I thought we would start a “What To Wear Wednesday” to get some idea’s out there and help you all out!   would love to hear some feedback from everyone on whether or not you find this helpful.  If you do we’ll keep it up and make it a weekly thing!

A Great Family Vacation! ~ Olds, AB Photographer

I have been wanting to blog about our family vacation for a while, but just now finished editing the pictures and picking out the ones that I wanted to share.

We had a great holiday this year, our first official family vacation!  We went to New Brunswick (where my husband is from) and my son had a chance to meet the rest of his relatives as he really didn’t know them on his dad’s side.  While we were all the way out east we decided to do a little sight seeing as well.  We ended up in Halifax, Peggy’s Cove, PEI, Cavendish Beach and we also did a little bit of traveling in New Brunswick. The heat out east was unbelievable, in fact the day before we got there it was 41 degree’s….SUPER HOT!  And, then you add in the humidity and that is just something that this Albertan was having problems with.  Most days it looked like I had an afro, since there really wasn’t a thing that I could do with my curly hair!

I think the biggest hit of the holiday was the beach, my son just LOVED the beach and would have been happy to have spent the entire holiday doing nothing but sitting on the beach and playing in the water!

The next family vacation that is coming up is Disneyland, and I have to be honest….I cannot wait for that one!!
